43 of our residents set off in March on a most enjoyable trip to Williamstown – Melbourne’s first sea port.  On our way to the city our well informed coach driver gave interesting commentary on the changing city skyline and future developments.

We boarded a ferry at the Southbank Promenade and meandered down the Yarra River into Port Philip bay.  The captain gave an excellent commentary along the way to Williamstown, highlighting the many notable attractions.  We were greeted with a most picturesque sight on arrival with a beautiful park along the foreshore and old historical buildings in the background.

The weather was perfect and after some delicious fish and chips, we explored this interesting historical town on foot.

Our coach was there to meet us and our driver took us on a further tour of Williamstown, showing us the old, the modern, and the wealthy and historical areas.  A most informative and relaxing day was enjoyed by all.
